The swagman full-size tailwhip tail-gate pad quickly and easily converts your truck tailgate into a 5 bike carrier. The pad will fit any full size pick up truck. The pad is 61″ wide and 20-1/2″ tall x 1″ thick. The tailwhip tailgate pad doubles as a cargo protector. The tailgate pad is made from high density foam to protect your bike and vehicle. The inside of the pad is lined with fleece which prevents scrapes and scratches to the tailgate. The outside is made of waterproof ballistic tarpaulin to ensure durability. The rack works by sitting over the tailgate hatch. Bike's front wheels sit over the tailgate outside of the truck box so that room is leftover for cargo in the box. The pad has integrated daisy chain webbing to allow for bike placement along the pad. The webbing has been attached with robust stitching that prevents fraying, tears and Decay due to extended sun exposure. The extra large pocket allows access to the tailgate handle without removing the pad. The tailwhip is easy to install with 3 tie-down straps. This product is excellent for bikes, but also great for hauling long loads such as lumber, ladders, surfboards and kayaks.
